RTH at dark

my RTH does not seem to function correctly after dusk/dark. my Mavic lands right where it is hovering when i hit the RTH in these light conditions. Is this normal?

I will check the app but it works fine in the daylight. Thought perhaps the system was confused in the dark but it should be GPS driven....correct?

I did not check the exact distance but i was about 3-4 houses from where i took off.

To add some detail to Mr.Salty: from the manual:
Aircraft automatically descends and lands if RTH is triggered when the aircraft
is within a 16 ft (5 m) radius of the Home Point.

It will also land where it is if it's within 20m and there's not enough light for the vision system.

thanks all....I will try to fly a significant (but safe) distance this evening to see if the 20m range is my obstacle.
