Something a bit different from me and more of a personal project. I've been filming this pretty much since last April. I always try to keep my videos shot 100% by drone but that wasn't possible in this case, it's more along the lines of 90% being drone shot. I worked here right up until the end operating their 3 25ton boilers so got filming in as & when I could.

Versalis rubber manufacturing plant : After the closure. A tour over, around & inside the Versalis (formerly Polimeri) rubber manufacturing plant in Grangemouth, Scotland. In April 2024 production ceased after 60+ years resulting in the loss of many jobs. The site remained open with a skeleton staff until December 2024 in order to clear the plant of all chemicals. In late December the plant was clear of all chemicals and the gates closed. It now awaits it's inevitable demolition bringing down the curtain on yet another manufacturing plant in Grangemouth. Hope you enjoy the video.

Nice video, well put together!

Very nice. 👍

I always liked production facilities and the way things come together at the end.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Excellent Video, I enjoyed watching every minute of it. I worked in Manufacturing facilities my entire life and seeing some of the things inside the plant reminded me of my past working life. I'm very glad you did the video just the way it was done as it gives a much more personal view of the subject matter from the inside as well as the outside. I'm sorry about your loss of employment there.

Thank you. As I said it quite a personal job to get all this filmed as it's been a local employer for more than 60 years and many thousands of people have passed through the place over those years. My personal connection is I spent the last 18 months running the boilers but I've been in and out the plant for more than 14 years and got to make a lot of good friends over that time. It will be getting demolished at some point so I thought it was important to film it the way everybody remembers it.
