Samsung S8+ overheat & App fail

Anyone here had problems using their Samsung S8+ with the Mavic Pro / DJI GO4 App?
Just got mine a few days ago & it seems to be overheating then the App fails - no warning just freezes & locks the phone! Takes a few minutes to cool down then back to normal again.
OK I do some extreme flying with regards to length of flights & batteries used (x4) but my old Note 3 never did overheat & freeze the App & phone.
May have to send it back - just want to find out if there are any other members with same problem

I fly with 2 different S8+ devices, and never had overheating issues, even on 90+° days.

Are you taking it out of the case when you fly?

What is the ambient temperature outside when you are flying?

i had the same issues with my ios phone and samsung tablet... was told that its normal which doesnt seem right to me at all

100 degrees that could be your problem. Try to stay in the shade and as mentioned before close all apps before the flight.
