A few kilometers outside the city of Mytilene is the village of Thermi, famous for its thermal baths. There in 1909 at the behest of Molla Mustafa Hassan ( brother of then Turkish Prime Minister ) and drawings of French architects built the luxurious Hotel Sarlitza Palace which for over thirty years is a huge edge and attracts celebrities from East and West, offering thermal bath in combination with secular life.
Today , where once the cool gardens marching beauties and celebrities with famous hats and sticks of the season, there is only the ruined building surrendered to the ravages of time.
