Hi I'm new to the drone hobby, Is there any way to save(even at a lower quality) a picture or video directly to your iphone while flying the drone? or do i have to get it off of the micro sd card after the flight?

Yes. Enable the following setting in DJI GO:

You could try "screen capture"

 

[Tomdog]

2 gb cache needs emptying periodically or there may be an option to self empty.
