I’ve been trying, and trying, And Trying to use the new Waypoint 2.0 and I CANNOT get it to Save!
Yesterday I tried & tried to save the Flight & kept getting a message on the screen:
“Waypoint task parameter invalid”
I thought maybe, because I didn’t change the flight mode to “P”.
So today I tried again & again, etc…, & now get:
“Failed to save, please try again”
I’ve been using my iPad for flying and thought I’d try my iPhone - and it saved it!
Any thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks
In Christ Jesus,
Barry

I think the waypoints are saved to the aircraft not the app.Are you connected to the aircraft when you are trying to save them? If so and still having the issue delete and reinstall the app on that device

I’m not connected to the drone when I try to save, but it does save when I use my iPhone X. My iPad is the 9.7” sixth generation. Both iPhone & iPad were shy just one software version update. I just updated both to latest and I’ll try again by keeping my M2P connected. If that doesn’t work, I’ll delete & reinstall the app. I’ll post the results later today. Thanks for your reply.

The waypoint missions are saved on the mobile device. The mission isn't uploaded to the drone until you decide to fly the mission.

Ok that makes sense. I know that if I plan a waypoint in Litchi I could start the waypoint mission and then switch to DJI Go 4 and the mission I started in Litchi will continue in DJI Go 4 so that’s why I thought they were saved to the AC but I now see that’s because I started the mission already.

I have seen on other threads that people are saying the Waypoint 2.0 missions can’t be edited unless connected to the AC so maybe my original advice will do the trick even though the reason was incorrect :D

I deleted & reinstalled DJI GO 4 on my iPad and lo and behold a test flight with Waypoints 2 was saved on my iPad. Thank you guys for all your info & thoughts. Really helped!

If using an Apple device, you can edit missions with the AC off if you're in the Waypoints section of DJI GO. The Waypoints icon will only be available when the AC is connected, so you at least need to power it up for a minute.
