Seagulls vs Mavic

We Went to Ft Bragg California Friday, and I was flying at the State Park on the Ocean. The Seagull in the first picture really wanted to get the Mavic. I flew down the beach and then all his buddies decided the Mavic must be food. I switched to sport mode and dove toward the ground and raced back to me. My wife told me that I should have flown backwards so I could have captured the attempted assault on video. I was able to take a nice Pano.

I've seen a few posts reporting dive-bombing attacks by seagulls. Flew around some gulls in our A Day in San Francisco vid, but none attacked.

I agree with your wife. I wish you'd have flown backwards at the point of attack. It would have been cool to see the birds swooping by the Mavic!

BTW, if you're ever attacked by birds, CLIMB, preferably in sport mode. The Mavic can outclimb any bird.
