Send back battery or not?

I crashed my drone in a stream and need to send back to DJI for care refresh replacement . I know the battery has water damage as the hidden tell tale sticker has gone red. So do I send the battery along with the drone back ? Though I heard somewhere about not posting batteries . Anyone been in this scenario ?

I kind of doubt it too. But wait and see what DJI says when you open the ticket. You should get instructions regarding the battery.

I returned a battery that had gone faulty to DJI...it went back to Netherlands from UK.....they arranged courier and after inspecting it they replaced it.
