For step 4 make sure the boat is tied for and aft,otherwise ur drone might end up in the water.Here are some things that would be helpful:
1) Disable Landing Protection if you're going to be hand catching/releasing your Mavic Air.
2) Set the "Remote Controller Signal Lost" setting to "Hover" in case the remote controller signal is lost mid-flight. You can then man the boat toward your Mavic Air until the remote controller signal is reestablished.

3) Make sure your batteries are fully charged.
4) If you're flying with a mobile device that contains a GPS receiver, you can manually reset the home point to your current location after moving the boat. DJI GO has no setting to automatically reset the home point as you fly. If you do not have a GPS receiver in your mobile device, you can fly the Mavic Air over top of the boat's new location and reset the home point to the Mavic Air's current location.
