Short lightening cable

Hi,
Got mavic pro and nexus 7.
Question why is the lightening cable provided the wrong way round which makes it to short. I know I can use the USB connection underneath but really long cable keep catching it.
So is there an alternative to the supplied cable but slightly longer.

I haven't seen a longer cable for the port on the left side of the remote controller, but this 9.8" cable might work for you if you want to use the bottom USB port.
