Signal lost option

I almost lost my mavic pro because of the default settings when signal lost by default, landing. I lost my signal and immediately landed in the middle of the forest. my question is why does dji provide landing options? must have direct signal lost RTH.

The default "Remote Controller Signal Lost" setting is "Return-to-Home". If you didn't have that setting set to "Landing", your Mavic could have landed for another reason (like a critically low battery).

why does dji provide landing options?

Depending on where you're flying or what you're doing, landing or hovering in place might be a better option. For example, if flying from a boat, you probably wouldn't want your Mavic to fly back to the takeoff location.
