Smart controller Beeping when I lifted off the ground

Smart controller Beeping when I lifted off the ground into a hover. This was the first time the Mavic 2 pro was in the air I was just letting it hover about 5 - 8 ft off the ground it flashed a message on the screen but I couldn't red it went away to fast. Anyone know why the SM was beeping ?

That's most likely the anti-collision sensors letting you know the drone is near obstructions (e.g. YOU). This isn't much of a nuisance if climbing straight up to at least 7 meters, before heading out on course, to activate precision landing, as the beeping soon stops. Sport mode also gets rid of the beeping (while deactivation those sensors) and makes for more sensitive stick movements - not for the less experienced.

Ok thanks that makes sense as a shed was about 8ft in front of me
