Smart Controller latency after recent firmware update

I am a new drone owner and pilot. Prior to flying last evening I updated the SC and M2P with the new firmware, rebooted both and all was well. I went to the park and flew the M2P a short distance when I notice latency in the video transmission but the stick control and drone were OK. As example, I yawed the drone but the video reception was static and did not show the drone yawed, after 5-7 seconds the video screen caught up with the yaw. I then rotated the camera downward and the same latency occurred.

I landed the M2P and power cycled the SC and aircraft, launched again and the latency issue resolved completely. I was curious if anyone has experienced this before?

DebianDog - did you have the previous Mavic? How is the SmartController in comparison to your old setup.

No sir, this is my first drone but I love the M2P and the smart controller. I bought the drone and SC as a bundle.

The issue started right after I updated the firmware, first flight noticed video transmission latency, immediately landed, rebooted SC and AC. Next flight all was normal and has been since. Thought I would throw this out to the community for comments and I do appreciate them.

No sir, this is my first drone but I love the M2P and the smart controller. I bought the drone and SC as a bundle.

Copy - I just sold my Mavic so that I could upgrade. I am really excited about being able to see what I am doing again. Not to mention I'm guessing setup time is pretty quick. No marrying of devices just turn it on and GO!
