Has anyone had an issue where every time you turn the controller on it says there is a firmware update, yet I have the latest. What happens is it says I have an update so I tap the update button. The firmware load go straight to 70%, runs for about 1 minute, the drone reboots and all is good. Turn them off and back on, and it repeats all over again.

I recall having this a while back but cannot remember which drone this was happening on. I recall my fix was to do the update via Assistant 2 wired to the computer.

Agreed and if you already had the latest software, you should do it again with the Assistant 2 and it's called a Refresh. I remember seeing this as well and for me, the Refresh fixed it.

You might also try the firmware update by connecting to your computer. I've had interesting problems in the past that caused me to contact DJI and their first approach is to update through the app on the computer. If there is a battery issue those updates take less than 60sec as I recall but I've not actually seen that happen lately.

If you have multiple batteries and that update includes battery firmware it'll need to be run once for each battery.
This is the most likely cause of OP’s issue. Same thing happened to me with this latest update. With different batteries, the update started at 70% and finished quickly. It is updating all the batteries to the latest version.

I would say so. My Air 3s fly more combo which I’ve had since 1st November. came with three batteries and I only just updated battery firmware on the third and final one the other day. The update started at 70%
