Smart Controller Question

I just got a Smart Controller and I’m wondering, Can i have both that and my existing controller linked to my MP2, or if i link the smart controller, will i have to go thru the linking process every time i want to change controllers (like to use my iPad)?

i think the regular can be setup as a 2nd. but not sure if that gives ya full control. ive yet to really mess around and switch back

You can set the Smart Controller as master & the other as slave or words to that effect.

I did this with my son who is a photographer, I flew to the general location then let him do the final tweaking to get the shots he wanted.
The person using the master can take control off the slave automatically if the person using it gets into trouble.
The master is the only one that can make changes to the settings in the app.

I have both and when I changed my controller to use the Smart Controller, when I went to use the controller again, I had to pair or link my controller again. Then when I went to use my SC again, I had to do it all over again. It is simply just pressing the button on the side of the M2P, to link the controlling device but I could not simply switch between each just by choosing either and go start flying.

I know on the day I used two we set them up at home then travelled to do the shoot and didn’t have to pair either one again before we did the flight.
Haven't had the opportunity to try again so don’t know why it is happening to you ?
