Platinum Smith Point Bridge Shirley, New York

Connecting Long Island to it's barrier island and public beach is the Smith Point Bridge. It's a small drawbridge constructed in 1959 that sits between the narrows between Long Island's Moriches Bay and Great South Bay.

Very Nice. Gosh it has been over 40 years since I've visited that area. Looks like it hasn't changed much

A fair portion of the area and homes have been upgraded. The park itself is exactly the same. They are planning to build a new bridge with construction scheduled for later this year.
