Hello All,
Bought myself a Mavic Air for my BD in November and have been having a blast playing with it. I've become pretty comfortable flying it and learning what the different settings do. Can't believe I waited so long to buy a drone! I've been pouring through the threads here and can tell this will be by go-to source for information. Ready to fly my Air from my boat, which is how I found this forum. Doing a internet search for flying a drone from a boat brought me here.

Welcome to the forum from the Mountains of Colorado. I to am a proud MA pilot, and still climbing that steep learning curve. Happy and safe flying!

Welcome 09. Enjoy your time on the water.
As you are certainly aware, the FAA rules state, "No operations from a moving vehicle unless the operation is over a sparsely populated area." This is often misquoted and "unless the operation is over a sparsely populated area" is omitted.
You might see the advice: "You need a waiver to fly from a moving vehicle." Well, that MAY be true, IMO.
Flying the drone from a boat "over a sparsely populated area" sounds like fun. IMHO
