Like many of us here, I ordered a 6 pack of filters which came in unwieldy and unnecessarily large plastic case that won't fit in FMC bag. Yesterday I ordered remaining 2 filters too (ND32 and 64) to complete my set and they came in a cute little case.
I saw that even this little bugger had PLENTY of space. I did a semi-DIY to fit my previous 6 filters in it. It is pretty self explanatory, but I will list down parts and steps anyway.
Please excuse my klutzy 'work' which can be described crude at best. I am sure, you fine folks can easily improve this whole thing and make it much better looking, but hey! I ain't carrying behemoth plastic no more!
Prerequisites and steps:
- Smaller of the filter boxes if you bought them just like me OR literally any other pill case or Q-tips empty box.
- A piece of dense and not so thick foam, cut it into dimensions of the box.
and then follow by pictures!
As a finishing touch to my piece of art, I printed a small legends thingy which really made me feel good for no reason (See last 2 pictures)
P.S. Cutting round holes is a pain. Use existing filter to imprint the outline on the foam (by pushing the filter lightly on the foam).
P.S.S. I noticed the filters sit very loose in the case and roll freely all over the place, so in my improved "design" the cutouts that I made were intentionally smaller so these guys sit tight in place. Enjoy!
