So many great National Parks in South Australia, including the Flinders Ranges, but all no fly Zones ! So disappointing no recreational flying, parks SA indicate no drone flying in all there parks, not even low height flying, this is not fair when such beautiful landscapes available, how can we change this ?

how can we change this ?

Not sure if we have a national association or such, about the only way would be to lobby.
That said, I'd try quietly approaching local Rangers and asking if a 10min flight in such and such place, to get some aerial footage with 'my aerial camera' is ok ?
Pick a day & time of day there are minimal others there, outside school holidays is pretty much a given to avoid others most places.

I have flown just outside Nat Parks boundaries like the Flinders and flown over nearby peaks.
I've also flown in very remote areas of Simpson Desert CP, no second thought up there.

Parks SA do have a permit system for RePL holders who jump through some pretty big hoops and pay a fee.

Sucks, especially when QLD and WA are totally open, NT is fairly easy to get a permit, others are difficult to impossible for hobbyists.

Thanks for your thoughts, no luck with Rangers - they follow the law ! It sucks. Did manage some flying outside park area, but would have loved some scenic shots within the Flinders Rangers, it’s a pity how strict the National park authorities are with recreational flying, as some of the best filming is within the Parks, some flexibility should apply !

some flexibility should apply !

It'd be nice :)
But like your Vic Parks, Tas, and to a certain extent NSW, SA parks are very draconian about drones.
A pity for sure, the Flinders are very picturesque, have walked through there extensively over the years and would love to have had a drone handy at times.
Same with the Vic high country, plenty do fly drones in there though, at least remote, and in other very isolated spots in the 3 main anti drone states.

I've spent a ton of time in our Nat Parks, you occasionally see a ranger in the busy ones (Flinders) however we have some isolated and huge parks where I have never seen another soul, in fact we drove for 2 days through Ngarkat and didn't see anyone else.
It's a stupid rule, even drones are banned in the Simmo, I was there last year, so much open space. As for the coastal parks, quite often the park limit is just Inland of the shore, so you can legally fly and snap away at the cliffs, rocks etc.
