Splitting clips in LumaFusion

Can I edit out a portion of a clip and save that portion to the source folder under a different name? I have watched several editing tutorials, but I have not seen this covered. I sometimes make long videos with several different things that I might place in different places on the time line. Being able to split those clips up and identify them individually would be a big help.

However, since I'm here - no you can't do it directly

Let's say you have a long clip and you split it into 4 parts

You can copy each clip to the clipboard and then paste that on its own to a new project

You can then export that project and give it a filename to identify it later

As long as you use the same fps and bitrate for your projects as the original you won't see a loss of quality
