Today I had the itch to fly through this really cool stand of tall trees. I was going to do it in tripod mode and just go very slow and navigate between them. I was all set to go, then my 12 year old tersely reminded that I was taking a big risk because of the return-to-home function. If it lost signal, that mavic would rise and crash into the trees overhead.
I thought, oh, I'll just turn off RTH, but I could not find an option for that.
I thought about adjusting the minimum altitude, but since I'm zigzagging around trees, any movements that are not directly controlled by me, would be trouble regardless of altitude.
Ideally, I would be able to tell it to just pause/hover in the event of signal loss. However, a google & manual search hasn't turned up anything.
I know I'm taking a risk no matter what.... but if I could figure this part out, I might want to try it next time anyway.
Thoughts?
