A few years ago, I was trying to capture a storm over NYC with my Canon 5d and kept missing the lightning. My 13 year old looks at me and says, shoot film and cut the frames, smart!

To capture these I shot video and then in iPhoto you can slowly scroll and export frames to tiff files, and there you have it. Lightning is very fast so you need to slowly scroll
