Flew a DroneDeploy mission at appr. 90-m (300-ft.) elevation with my Mavic 2 Pro over a property, pre-programmed grid, camera on Automatic settings.
Used Pix4D Mapper to process the 170 photos taken.
Have a MS Surface Book 2, 16GB, 1TB

1. Took a long time to process, about 4-hrs.
2. Not impressed with the 3D or the pdf. Resolution is much below expectations.

See attached.

Any thoughts??????

The lower you fly the more photos and higher resolution.

I use Drone Harmony. It lets you define overlap. I would probably fly about 30m above ground level with 60% overlap.

I use Precission mapper to produce the orthomapper. You get a number of free maps each month.

Finally i plot the orthomap using MapWindows - Also a free GIS application
