Hello everybody!
I am new to this forum and haven't noticed a similar discussion yet so I will just ask.
I am a registered drone operator with A1/A3 pilot certificate in EU and currently own a DJI Spark. I'm slowly starting to look for an upgrade. I didn't pay too much attention on “drones” for a past few years, but now I saw that DJI released Air 2S which, honestly, looks amazing recording to specs and reviews/videos I watched.
But now we come to a problem – DJI Air 2S is not C marked. That means, that Air 2S can and will be (after the 1.1.2023) able to be flown only in A3 category (if there is no retrospective labelling).
Since I usually fly drones in rural areas as far from »third-party« people as possible and that in my country there is (as far as I'm aware) a ban to fly your drone above buildings or main roads without building owner consent and approved flight plan, is it smart/worth to upgrade now or it's better I hold on to my Spark for a few more years until the C labelling process is possible?
Thank you very much for your help and advise!
