Tablets vs phones

This is a little confused.
Having a GPS makes no difference to downloading maps.
Even without a GPS in the iPad, the app has location data from the drone if connected.
Or you can manually scroll around the area of interest in the map box using wifi or a hotspot from your phone.

That's what I do Meta4 - I scroll aroun beforehand on wifi - it was just the other day I needed to use the Samsung S8 as the ipad was too cold and I noticed that other option of downloading. I only use the Samsung 1 in 50 flights maybe !! Was just wondering why its not an option on the ios app.
