Tello FPV Backyard Video

Posted over on Tello Pilots this clip of video set to highest bitrate. Backyard, no wind, ios controls, no joysticks, head down on phone FPV. Hey as a challenging FPV sim and trainer, I'd say YES, its worth the 100 bucks.

I like Vimeo for posting. Good features and control over your content. the flown stuff is mostly set for public viewing.

Can't believe there's no onboard SD. That would've taken care of some lag.

I'm just comparing to Parrot Mambo. Came out last year. The Tello actually looks and flies like a clone of the Parrot Mambo which has built in SD recorder. Just saying, I know video on both drones are crap, but the Tello's herky jerkiness is crapier than the mambo... lol. Coming from FPV flying/racing, I like sharing my fpv videos with my comrades, but the lag on the Tello is unbearable for that.

FYI, if anyone is interested in the Tello just for flight and not the camera, the Mambo comes with a bluetooth controller and is cheaper than Tello. It also has a sonar sensor which gives it the same flight characteristics as the Tello.
