Terrain Following flight - How?

I'm trying to just do a simple terrain following flight with VPS like I did a hundred times with my Phantom but I can't figure it out with my Mavic.
Simply driving down my driveway it won't adjust height automatically.

Help?

It will only auto adjust the altitude when flying uphill.

I don't understand why it is designed that way. Many situations where you would want to follow a subject, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking and such involve downhill movement.

That's how it works. The best you can do at this point is contact DJI and offer your suggestion to improve it.

Actually the anti collision won't let it go up my driveway. I'm sure they can fix this with a firmware patch.
Yes, it's enabled.
