The sharpest aperture for the Mavic 2 Pro ?

Bear in mind that a good interesting photo is a good interesting photo. A little softness from having the aperture a little to wide or narrow isn’t going to make a difference to the impact in most occasions.

Sure if you’re shooting for a billboard it will be a factor but 9/10 there are hundreds of other far more important variables to consider.

Note I’m not necessarily aiming this at the OP but if people stumble across the thread who are new to photography they may go away with the impression the f no. is going to make a massive difference.

At altitude and distance it isn’t going to have much of an impact.

Also keep in mind that Pixel peeping test chart shots is a pursuit in itself and as legitimate an interest as anything might be for those who are excited by it. A photographer will produce a better artwork with a mobile phone than many might hope to achieve with the best gear available. The paints don’t make the artist.

F/4 although not much of a difference when opening up to F/3.5 or F/2.8.

F/5.6 also totally fine but don’t go beyond that.
to add to what CanadaDrone wrote - one needs to realize what this aperture control is actually useful for, on the drone. control of DOF is not the major need, as it was already stated.
all where this aperture control is useful is video, in photo just keep it either wide open or set to F3.5.

in video mode, it helps a ton to control shutter speeds depending upon amount of light and the 4 stops adjustment range from 2.8 to 5.6 is pretty much all that is needed, even without ND filter on the lens.
i personally keep ND4 filter on it at all times instead of the transparent UV, as it does not ruin photo shutter speeds much - just 1 stop down, but is still helpful to bring shutter closer to 1/60 speeds for 4K30 video mode, in combination with aforementioned aperture control.
