Hey All
I have a mavic 2 zoom and with the new law about the remote ID should I rush out and get the mavic mini 2 , where I do not have to register or just fly the mavic 2 zoom.
One of the drawbacks of the mavic 2 zoom is when I go out and fly I like to have several batteries ( at least 6 ) , so when I go out and fly I can enjoy the afternoon. $ 149 x 6 = $ 849 plus tax for m2z. I currently had 5 batteries go bad. So I have one left.
The mavic mini 2 is $ 55 x 6 = $ 330. that is $ 519 cheaper.

I have a M2P and a MM2. The MM2 is a great drone for what it is, but it is not a replacement for the M2's. Instead of having 6 batteries, why don't you buy three plus a power converter?

In what time period did your M2 batteries go bad? Did they swell, or just fail to take a charge? Did you store them fully charged or partically discharged? Have you ever tried a deep discharge then partial recharge?

I had one battery swell and not fit in my drone then another then four other swell so I was afraid to fly with them. I went to replace them, but the price of them made me think.
I have a FstopLabs Mavic 2 battery charger that charges three batteries at once.
Still thinking

The reality is that most of the drones DJI have brought out are very good. ND filters are a good investment if you want to get better footage, as many have said, simply because you can achieve the classic motion blur that we're all used to seeing on TV, films, etc.

It will be 2 years before you have to comply with the new rules. I would watch to see what comes along.
Wonder if your batteries came from the known bad batches? Info is on the forum... try search, sorry. I have 10 batteries for my M2P and only one has failed (swelled) in almost 2 years and hundreds of hours on each one....
