Yeah I know it's pricy, but it's really tempting.

Does anyone know if the RC Pro 2 fits in the stock bag you get with the Mini 5 Pro? The middle compartment seems pretty roomy (I heard it can store a pair of goggles)

If anyone has the RC Pro 2 I'd love to year your general comments about it.

It does not fit. The wider screen makes it to tall and the zipper will not close. I have both paired, Mavic 4 Pro and the Mini 5 Pro. I will be looking at some small sling bags. I have the M4P in a Thinktank Photcross 13 and it fits perfect. I may try the Photocross 10 for the 5.

Another DJI mistake.

Ah... such a shame. But I did suspect that.

The Thinktank stuff looks nice, But what I may try, if I get the RC Pro 2, is to figure out some way to fasten it to the top of the Mini 5 bag for transport.

I found the dimensions of the RC Pro 2. Your are correct, sir. No way it'll fit in the stock Mini 5 bag:

Key Dimensions & Specifications
  • Dimensions: 182 × 139 × 61 mm (Length × Width × Height) when folded.

I made it work but it is ugly. After getting the divider out of the way the controller fits flat under the M5P. I have the controller in a soft pack below. 20251001_164618.jpgVery poor design. Each divider is sewn in on one side with no options to reconfigure. All you can do is fold them out of the way.

Interesting approach. I have camera bags that have dividers attached by Velcro, so you can configure them pretty much any way you want. That would be useful.

Yes! I managed to it into my stock bag with the antennas down, allowing it to be pulled out by an attached strap, and a silicone screen cover. Fits in the middle, with room for everything it came with except the original controller it replaces.
Bag zippers snugly and folds out open, too, allowing easy access. Just don't put anything in the top zippered pocket. Use the front right for propellers, charger and cables.

I assume you're a ground camera photographer as well.Do you have the usual minimum of 5 camera bags collected over the years?😜

I have the RC Pro 2 and the Mini 5 Pro. To Be Honest I haven't tried testing it out in the bag that came with it? I've spent the past week looking for a hard case to hold the Mini 5 and the RC Pro 2 in one case. So far no luck. A couple companies have claimed to be working on it. But I guess I'll check out the soft bag when I get home. I'm just a hard case guy.

I spoke to Lykus and Startrc awhile back to ask if they were making a case for the Mini 5 Pro and RC Pro 2. Francis the Mananger at Lykus contacted me and said they have created one. Mine arrived Yesterday! Here is the link. Amazon.com : Lykus Titan MM520 Waterproof Hard Case for DJI Mini 5 Pro and DJI RC Pro 2, Support up to 8 batteries and RC lanyard [CASE ONLY] : Electronics

Wish they wouldn’t make the cases so darned deep. At 5.75” thick, it's as thick as a suitcase, rather than a thin Mini drone briefcase, which is all it needs to be, to hold the M5P, the RC Pro 2, and the battery hub. Accommodating 8 batteries? That's completely ridiculous!

The original OEM case still fits everything you need, including the RC Pro 2.
See post #8 above.

Yeah, I got one of those bags. That's why I bought the case.

The OEM bag, containing everything it shipped with, swapping the RC 2 for the RC Pro 2, is less than half the size of this oversized suitcase, which is larger than my Mavic 4 Pro case designed for the RC Pro 2 from StartRC. The whole point of the Mini series is compact portability. IMHO, a thick, oversized suitcase defeats the purpose. However, whatever works for you. What is left in the suitcase when flying only needs to be the hub with 2 batteries. This looks like a guy with a case on the ground big enough to flying an Inspire, rather than a small, discrete, shoulder bag around his neck. That open case on the ground is an invitation for thieves, while you are distracted flying the drone.

I'm downsizing my case actually. I was using a case for my Mini 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro with both controllers and batteries. Yes I'm going smaller.

For one, both my son and I can fly at the same time. Also I register every drone I own except for the NEO. So I'm not worried about RID. Thanks for your input though. Glad the bag works great for You! I'm just a hard case guy. Even have a hard case for the NEO.

Cool! I was just curious, as I have the Mini 4 Pro for RID free flying when desired.
