Currently own original Mavic not many flight hours at all pretty much mint but with prices constantly being slashed make you wonder weather to buy a new one again,
my original Mavic i paid £1200 but would like maybe inspire or mavic 2 maybe, but is it worth keeping the original? after all i think the original mavic made a Dji for what it stands for now and is truly a nice drone
but its all about the quality in the sky,
ive seen the original mavic pro now for sale for around 500 but could be even far less now

I have never heard of a mavic selling for 500. Maybe the original air.

yea ive just actually checked on good old Facebook sales some are 450 ,500 white edition for 500 mavic pro editions, obv second hand, there is even a mavic 2 pro for 650 mint condition it states, are they realy loosing face value that quick like cars now
it puts you off buying anything expensive, this rate il be able to buy a camera in the sky cheaper than my other photography gear

The spark and remote and nothing else sells for over 500 dollars

I am not calling you out. I am just a little baffled. I would crash and burn my platinum. Before selling it at 500

Keep it for flying missions that might be dangerous for a new expensive drone.

I'm thinking of upgrading from a MM, Uncertainty in rapidly changing government rules have prevented me from doing so. The industry seems to be changing crazy fast.

In the past twelve months I have bought 2No Mavic Pro. Both on Ebay. They came with loads of extras including, in total, 9No batteries and 4No sets of props and carry bags, additional lens filters, extra cables etc. Both were in immaculate condition although the one has a "carbon fibre" wrap, which I am slowly pealing off. No glitches or problems with either.
The best bit was, in total, the two cost me less than £1100. Not sure what that is in dollars.
Its taken me a while to get to know how to fly them as an 80 year old I dont learn as quickly as when I was in my 20's. I never had a computer until I was in my 50's.
Why 2No??? Well they seemed a good bargain and at my age I'm allowed to act irresponsibly whenever I wish. Plus my friend didn't own one so the second one is on semi-permanent loan to him and as he is a "child" of a mere 68 years we can go a fly when ever its decent enough weather.
Two old codgers sitting back in our garden chairs zapping around the air space and swaping tall stories. The two minor issues I live in a regular training area for the helicopters from RAF Shawbury and its 300yds to go and have a pee (an important consideration at our age).
Keep flying. Keep safe. Keep the "nay-sayers on their toes

Good for you! Great to find a person of your age up for getting to grips with drone flying, but can you beat this? At 76 years young I was out in New Guinea last year flying my Mavic Pro at an eco resort in the afternoons after doing a couple of scuba dives on the coral reefs in the mornings! Moreover visited the Bahamas in January this year to dive with Tiger, Bull & Great Hammerhead sharks! No drone though as Bahamas authorities wanted 50% value of drone deposited with them to discourage sale of drone to any local Bahamian since drone sales are heavily taxed in that country-shame!
