Looks like red tailed hawk to me. Has a belly band Which is a characteristic of red tailed hawks. and not any other hawk that I know of. Definitely not a peregrine falcon. Broad wing hawks have a lot of mottling from the neck down on the breast and belly.

It's a Goshawk, they eat birds. Might be why he was interested in your drone.
