I sometimes take off with my Mavic Pro from places I manually land upon return. I recently added a dual battery mod. It seems as though my landing style isn’t cohesive with the extra weight. My question is simply this. When I get to a few feet above my landing area, I left stick all the way down. The controller tells me “landing”... however I keep left stick down. It lands hastily, but not abruptly or violently. If I let go of the left stick down, AFTER it says it is “landing”, will it land on its own? If I let go of the left stick from full bore down, will it hover or land automatically? Thanks Mavic crew!!

If you have the Landing Protection setting enabled (see the screenshots below), holding the left stick in the full down position will enable Forced Landing mode and the Mavic will finish landing (even if you left go of the left stick). If that setting is disabled, it won't land on its own and you'll have full control of the Mavic until it reaches the ground.
