[Droning on and on...]

Hi all...

I was admitted to the hospital Friday after some mild chest pain. After all the tests, I'm headed into the OR for a triple bypass tomorrow morning.The prognosis is excellent, as i did not have a heart attack with damage to the heart muscle. My heart is strong and healthy, but I've gummed up the plumbing (coronary arteries) with a lifetime of poor eating habits and sedentary lifestyle. one artery was 99% occluded.

That, of course, will not longer be the status quo for me. Big lifestyle and diet changes. I want to live.

I've made some cool friends here, and enjoyed the discussions. I hope to see y'all on the backside in a few weeks.

Humor is the best medicine.
When I did my heart thing (not bypass, just failure) I kept joking with the staff. They tried to get all serious and stuff and tell me how close I was to dying and such but frak em. I made a good time of it and I'm here 1100 days later.

Keep your chin up and don't let them bring you down.
Every day after this one is a bonus at this point. Enjoy them.

Hope it all goes well and you're back on your feet again soon.
