Over the last 6 Years the DJI updates have been a tricky game of Hit or Miss, going all the way back to the Phantom 4 Pro .
There we some updates that came out that had everyone scrambling to to backwards and reverse the update. Which we all did using the DJI assistant 2
Than starting with the Mavic 2 / Air 2S the updates changed to where, after the update, sensor errors and gimbal overloads just became a normal part of flying as they appeared out of nowhere, an there were hundreds of threads on the forum with others having the issue.
Shortly after that, the Updates changed again, except these new updates recognized the sensor errors and gimbal overload errors, which stopped the drone from being able to fly at all.
That small change in Parameter settings bricked many a drone sometime after the Air 3 came out.
This pattern continued with the Air 3 , first the update to bring about new parameters with drones showing sensor errors and gimbal overloads and than the update to stop them from flying
The pattern stopped with the Mavic 3 , that drone has been able to fly with broken arms, sensor errors and gimbal overloads. We see that noted on many ebay sales.
Now the Mavic 4 Approaches, or so we're told, I can sense how the DJI Meeting might go at the DJI boardroom !!
Do we brick them or let them fly ?
Maybe we should wait to see how the Mavic 4 sales go ?
Im wondering how many of you have a drone with an error message that still fly fine and works well ?
How many of you have an error that comes up now and you can no longer fly ?
