Mini 4 Pro Timberline Ski Area - Mt Hood Oregon - RAW video

Really beautiful area! Inside that lodge is remarkable. Videos are good. Didn't hear a sound track.
Lived in Gresham, OR in 1979. My ship was in overhaul near Portland. Always loved looking up to Mt. Hood standing there.

Spent many a winter day skiing there decades ago. Now more buildings, roads and parking, but still only two chairlifts?

Mt Hood is gorgeous. Our friends who live in Portland took us there in the June timeframe a couple years back and there was still snow.

Beautiful area.

As Prop wash stated, a sound track would make this video much more interesting.

I think Timberline has chair lifts now. I've gone skiing there a few times. I used to ski a lot. One time I did a "Ski into the New Year" where the lifts were open all night long. I took a trip down the mountain at midnight to see a couple had pulled off the side of the run to have a boink into the New Year.
I don't think they expected anyone to come down the slope right at midnight. I was impressed that they were doing it in the open air as it was 13 degrees when I left the chairlift. I just waved and kept going.

This is the raw video. Hence, no sound track.
This is my 4th outing with the Mini 4 Pro and each time I'm adding something to my skill set.

On this video I learned that if I'm shooting on a mountainside, I need to reset my ceiling and watch the elevation. At one point, the controller announced maximum elevation reached. That's when I needed to turn to the left and head back downhill.

If I edited the video, and I still might, I will add some fades, get rid of the pauses and incorrect lens angle adjustments, and add a sound track.

Looks like a good start to the snowpack for the winter but still quite thin compared to what this will look like by March. Nice views of Mt. Jefferson from up there.

Thanks for the compliments.

As luck would have it, I went to edit the videos and add some music and found out that, somehow, I never set the codec to H264 and it's still H265.
I can't edit it with what I have without running it through a converter and last time I tried that it didn't work.
So, unfortunately the raw video is what it is.

Guess I'll have to go out and get some more video.

And, for the record, I just set the codec to H264. I will double check it right before I fly next time.
