Hallo everyone, I am quite new to Drones. I have bought 2nd hand Mavic 2 Zoom and it has been a joy. However I have crashed it into lake, it was nearby me so it didn`t spend too much time time in water, just few seconds but demage was done firstly by hitting zip line and than also with water. I have already ordered myself a new one but I am determend to try repair this one. I am aware that route to repair might be either too costly or maybe even imposible due to water damage but I am willing to go down this route since I have a feeling that I will need this expirience in future as well. If someone has ideas where I can get more informations on reapairing drone and how to diagnose boards, since that seams to be my biggest issue right now, I would really appriciate it.
Battery which went under water is not usefull any more, after few days light on it started blinking indicating short, so I opened it and managed to brake flat cable while doing it and once cell seams to be damaged so I am not really thinking I can fix that up, But I am kinda hopefull for drone.
I think that there is chance that water did not do too much damage becaouse with good battery cammera does it thing there is no lights and it manages to connect to controler. In my mind contol bord is working which is awsome if that is the case since that seems to be most expensive part. There are some dents in covers of the controll boad but bellow covers everything looks ok, excepy water stickers which are all pink.
Camera gimbal has some damage but it reamins in one piece. It got stuck in backward looking position kinda looking into itself unable to face forward, but I have managed to open it up, maybe bit even too much, but its facing notmal direction now and it does calibration during start up.
One of the motor seems to have some gravel inside and one front leg stand is broken, I am awaiting parts of AliExpress and that should be changed soon.
I was looking at this Backward left and right vision senson error and have ordered a part I thought it was indicating to be foulty but all reamins the same. So It must be some other part, also I think this shows that ESC board is fauly. But I have no way on knowing for sure. If someone knows where I can fing to what errors mean which part is fouly or how to diagnose boards it would really really help a lot.
Also I have noticed it heats up too much and while it is turned on like fan is not working, but I dont know if it is problem with fan or contrl boad or how to determen what is the issue.
Thanks in advance

Greetings from Birmingham Alabama USA, welcome to the forum! We look forward to hearing from you!

There is a lot that may cause you trouble. Especially the circuitry.

First don't turn it on! If the antenna has become unhooked from the video transmission card you will fry the card usually in a few seconds......
secondly If I were you I would call it a day and replace it. its gonna end up costing you way more to repair especially if its your first venture into Drone fixing..If you want to learn how to build and repair Drones you need to Start with BARDWELL videos on YouTube He will give you a college level course in Drones and before you know it you will be building your own. DJI Drones are super nice until you gotta fix or diagnose one yourself then they get kinda expensive...

Ive repaired alot of the m2p and m2z drones. Sounds like fan on main board is not spinning. Surprised that mainboard is working. All errors indicate esc.that is where all wires are soldered to. No hard you replace.that is saying motors 1,2,3,4, have problem. Most likely esc. Esc runs about 60 bucks ot less. Have one will sell along with imu and fan.let me know if interested

Thanks alot. Yeah I know and it is something I do not really know how to test, and replacing random boards seems dull

Thanks

Well I have turned it quite few times after changing few things here and there to see if something changes. It looks like I am having some luch still. I dont leave it running for too long...
Yeah I am aware that it might be costly but I am fealing this will be usefull in future, since I think I have found myself a new passion. And I have already ordered replacement but I am dedicated to fixing this one. I not currently attracted to DIY drones like BARDWELL chanell seems to focus but thanks for pointing him up to me I have already found a video on testing ESC which should be viable for my current needs.

Im not sure main board works but in my mind it can connect to controller if its foulty, right... Thanks for offer but I think that shipping from USA to Serbia would cost me more than part itself, also I have ordered some broken M2P hopefully I can savage ESC from that one. One of the motors might not be foulty but it seems it got some gravel stuck inside, I am sure to change that one for sure.
