Well both locos definitely ain't new,,the DA diesel was working NZ rail from 1955 to 1989 and have been fully restored for scenic day trips,,,its steam powered going up the line one way and the return trip is done by the old diesel,,I dont see no conflicting here since they are old in train termsTwo related, unrelated comments:
A lot of modern parents casually use the term "choo-choo" in reference to any train when talking (teaching language) to their toddlers, even though THEIR grandparents were probably born too late to hear the sound of a working steam locomotive.
Steam locomotives are so astoundingly inefficient that almost every "re-enactor train," like the one shown, contains a diesel engine to move the thing along. The first image shows the diesel engine, sort of conflicting with the word "old" in the caption.
