I know this topic has come up before the Mavic 3, but wondered if anyone has had success with the Mavic 3 to use active track for a dog. I tried it in normal mode for a black lab and it seemed to begin to work but wouldn’t stay locked on. I may try again another day in sport mode since the dog I want to track is pretty quick.

I can imagine that a GPU like those from Nvidia have built-in recognition of people and a whole raft of common items, but don’t know enough about the system architecture of the Mavic 3 to know if it has a GPU or that level of image processing capability for tracking specific items.

I had the opportunity to video a dog being trained to duck hunt and thought that active track would be an ideal way to capture this, but ended up flying this manually.

Active track is designed to track people and cars. It usually won't work with any other object like a dog that doesn't look like a person or a vehicle. Just track them manually, as you did.
