Trouble attaching video

I tried to attach a video (278 K) to a post on one of these forums, and the upload always ends with the name shown in strikeout type and it's not in the preview. How to do this right?

Not sure I understand. Are you trying to post a link in a post you have on YT ,Vimeo or one of the others ?
I use Vimeo and just get a link from what I what to show and paste it in the post.

I do the same as dirkclod It is usually the best or only way to post video on most forums.
Upload to a hosting site then post a link.

No, I was trying to upload the video directly to this site as an attachment to my post. So you're saying that's not supported?

Is there a max size to attachments here? What is it?
