Convenient that throughout the press release there is no mention of how they are going to free up the sub-400' airspace for the Commercial Drone Alliance... well... it ain't rocket science, is it?

They will have to regulate all those pesky privately owned drones out of the sky or hit them with exactly the same legal stick used to make model aeroplane fliers toe the line... which will mean taking turns flying round a field. Same on this side of the Atlantic.

Because we are lazy, self-centred and unable to act as a cohesive Minority Group (which is exactly what we are), we have almost zero representation.... which means, like all the voiceless minority groups throughout history: we are going to be ridden roughshod over.

In what universe is this true? Because it's not true on planet Earth. They are going to take away our airspace so that commercial drones can freely use it. It's all about the money, kids.

I wish that was so, but history says it's not. Police, whom ironically are motivating force behind this, can purchase and use full auto weapons while the peons are restricted and in some cases forbidden. Likewise, police can speed to crash scenes (or donut shops), while speeding remains illegal for the little folk.
