UK location checking procedure

Does anyone have a procedure to check if its safe to launch from a specific location?

1) how to find land owner
2) what to ask and how
3) how to find any restricted zones , military, SSIs etc.
4) how to check for weather conditions, wind etc

I'm planning a trip to the Cairngorms and am getting very confused on where i can or cannot fly.

Any recommendations in this area would be welcomed too!

Restricted zones are shown on the Guardian Angel app and the similar Drone Assist apps. UAV Forecast gives reasonable weather info for your current or proposed location.
