…….or do we have a problem?

Apologies if this is repetition, but most comments I have seen are US based.

I was all set to order one, and then I heard about the 249g + tolerance issue so I have put the brakes on my purchase.

Which is really sad: I have the Mini 3 Pro and I have been waiting ages for the M5P!!

Same issue as US. No 3% tolerance like in the EU.

I’ve seen comments that the newest batches of M5P are definitely sub 250g and/or changes in the UK regs next year might help?

Is there any truth in this? To be honest I’m struggling to understand/keep up!!

If you need 249g, get the Mini 4 Pro with the regular Mini 4 Pro battery. You cannot use your Mini 3 Pro batteries and stay under 249g.

Blame Brexit! The CAA set a LIMIT, not a target weight with a tolerance.

I remember when the M4P came out, I looked at the Specs and decided to stay with the M3P. So I’ll probably still do that.

If the M5P is now regarded as over 250g, I might even consider getting a “proper” Mavic! I have a Mavic 2 Pro and I had decided that I wouldn’t replace that as the M5P had such a good camera: I would stick with the M5P due to the flexibility of sub 250g flying. Now that is out of the window, what the heck! Let’s get a “big” drone again!!

I blame Brexit for most things: a great display of national self-immolation.

And there is a non-zero chance that the chief architect of this clusterf**k could be Prime Minister. God help us.

The big drones definitely handle wind better than the Mini's, and offer vastly superior flight time. Mavic 2 Pro already has the 1” sensor and is more than capable, although it suffers from a max 25 minute flight time.
