Unable to charge Mavic 2 Pro Remote Controller

Hi Experts,
I could not get the controller charging by using the charger plugged in the micro usb to the side of the controller. No charging lights, nothing happened. Any idea? Thanks!

IF the charging cable will charge another item then probably the tab inside the RC is broken. EASY to do if not paying attention to the orientation when plugging in the charging cable. If that is the problem, @Thunderdrones can help

If the charging cable won't charge another device then perhaps the cable is defective or the charger. Please help with more PD.

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, the cable does charge my portable power bank. I also noticed that I could not connect to my iPhone X to the controller with the default lightning cable. I also tried connect the controller to my iPhone using the USB cable via the regular USB port in the middle of the controller, still no connection. @Thunderdrones , How could we resove this? This is a new drone bought in November 30, it has never been activated. I hate to send it to DJI California site for repair because it might take a long time. Thank you so much for your help!
