While filming the other day, I ran my battery down to about 10% and landed. When I removed my SD card and attempted to open my files on my computer I discovered my last file would not open.

I think I may have failed to shut down the AC properly before removing the battery. I assume that is what caused the corrupted file. Is there a way to recover it by replacing the card and starting up and shutting down properly? I don’t have my drone with me right now so I can’t try it.

Thanks!

Try reinserting the card, the start the drone. You don’t need props or to fly. Let it run a minute or so before powering off. You may get lucky.

If you're Ok sharing the video, I can try and repair the file for you. You can upload the damaged file to Google Drive and share it with me. I will also need a playable sample file recorded with the drone. You can upload one of the files recorded prior to the damaged video.

Happens to me if I forget to stop recording video prior to turning off the AC.

The older drones like the P3 tended to leave the file unfinalized but the Mavic, at least the M2 seems pretty good about closing the file. As others said, just put the card back in, power on the AC and that should properly close the file.
