Updating Mavic Pro batteries

Do you have to update batteries with Rc/ac?

I Don't quite get what you mean?

If the firmware for the current battery needs to be updated, DJI GO will display an inconsistent firmware found message. Tap that message to update the firmware. Each battery needs to be updated separately.

Had to do that to both my Mavic Pro batteries when I bought them a year and a half ago, but never since.

I have never had to upgrade my pro batteries but my spark needed it or wanted it . One spark battery would not even work until updated

Two days ago I updated my 16 months old MP with the latest firmware using latest Dji go 4, I never update before. And yes, the batteries need to be updated to make the consistent with the Aircraft and the rc.

I recently purchased a new battery as I junked 2 of my three that were swelling. I had to do a update on firmware etc...
Since 1 batt is over a year and 1 brand new, should I update the older one?
