UPS really knows how to turn a great repair experience into a pile ofđź’©.

My Air 3s was picked up by UPS at DJI in Ft Worth on the 12th after repair. Was supposed to be delivered back to me on Friday, then Saturday, now they will let me know as soon as possible when it will be delivered. You can no longer talk with a UPS representative. The only info in detailed notes was a late arrival of a trailer caused a 1 day delay. That was the last detailed note on the 15th. I will call DJI on Monday and have them handle this. What a pain.

So it's just delayed then? If your package were truly lost, I don't think the tracking information would show it as delayed.

I don’t know if it is delayed or lost because customer service is closed. It went from delivery on Friday, then the delayed trailer arrival caused a 1 day delay will be delivered by Saturday 6:00pm. Now it says we will let you know when we can delivery your package. Seems to me if it was delayed they would know when it would be delivered. So right now I’m calling it lost. Also last detailed update was on the 15th.

Calling the shipper is the only option you have if the package has not moved in a week, yes a week, UPS will not even talk to you as the receiver, all issues have to be resolved between the Shipper and the Carrier, give it a few more days.

I use FedEx exclusively for my employer, shipping LPG and Chemicals to various labs around the country and abroad, it is quite the headache when FedEx doesn't get shipments to their destinations overnight, meanwhile our clients are waiting for lab results.

At this point, all signs suggest the package is simply delayed and still on its way.

FedEx delays like this are fairly common in my experience, and when they happen, FedEx rarely knows exactly when the package will arrive. The status usually just says something like "still on the way". I don't have as many issues with UPS deliveries.

When you do get in touch with customer service, they should be able to confirm whether the package is truly lost. Personally, I'd give it another business day and check the tracking again before wasting my time with customer service or assuming the worst happened.

First world problem.

You do know these are just computers putting in destinations, locations, and timings, etc....right? There isn't a person personally handling your package providing you with updates on where they are and what is going on.....it's just an algorithm and maybe even some AI. Actually I'm surprised we aren't all used to this by now.

I know how frustrating it can be, my biggest issue is delivery to the wrong address way too often. I have a lots of 0s and 1s in my street address and it causes mass confusion if you don't put them in the right order, I can't tell you how many times the delivery photo is *not* my front door. However, I'm over it and I take comfort when I read some of the horror stories posted on reddit especially about FedEx, if that helps.

Yes I do realize they are automated responses but with all the technology they could do much better. Just saying

And you're telling us all this because.....?

These days, everything is scanned at every point from check-in, truck load, truck unload, etc, with all movement carried out by GPS tracked vehicles. Yet, packages "disappear" from their system only to "reappear" a few days later. I have had this personally with all 3; UPS, FedEx, and USPS. It seems like with all the scanning, they would know immediately at which point the item went missing. But, for some reason, it doesn't seem like they do.

Just Friday, UPS was supposed to deliver a package from Amazon. I got a notification Fri. morning that it was on the truck and out for delivery by 7pm that day. At 6:49pm, I received the following notification:

"Unfortunately, UPS wasn't able to complete your delivery and needs additional information to try again. We're sorry for the inconvenience."

My translation of this notification is: "Sorry. The driver is tired and heading home. Hopefully, he will make it on Monday"

Oh I totally agree, I just expect better from large corporations like UPS, FED-EX & Amazon. I presume you received your Amazon shipment the next day. Was it retaped? We have experienced that exact communications from Amazon and each time when the package is delivered, it has been retaped with clear tape and the box has damage. Generally the box had zero packing and the original tape did not stick to the box. Boy I’m bitchy today.

FedEx sent a gun I bought to Mexico, where it was promptly seized. Apparently Mexico sounds a lot like Michigan. Seller refunded the money and I hope he was reimbursed by FedEx, but I bet it wasn't easy.

It may show yet, I've had them lose things in the past and it always eventually showed up. If not, it would be DJI's problem since they are the "shipper". They would have to file a claim on it, however they make you wait 30 days before they can file. Then if you decide to file on it, UPS would need them (DJI) to give you a claim waiver before you can file. Just let them know you didn't get it and let them take care of it. It will most likely show up, UPS doesn't lose items very often.

not sure whats up with UPS ,they even closed the pick up point here in Richland Pa .Maybe it's the result of DEI hiring ,three times this year alone I had to hunt for my packages once it was an entire street away

UPS seems to have a problem with weekends in Canada, they frequently miss a Friday delivery then you're lucky if its delivered Monday, Tuesday more likely. With FedEx, & DHL I've had deliveries on Saturday & Sunday evening.
