Usage abroad?

Bit late in the day, as I have already bought the mini in the US. Am currently in the US, on vacation, but live in India. Hopefully the Mini can be flown in a country other than where it was bought?

Not a good idea if your country doesn't allow FCC power. It's OK for a visit, but you'll have a hybrid limitation. FCC version doesn't have 2.4 band and when taken to your country, will likely have reduced power with no 2.4 band where if you had the appropriate model, you'll still have the power limit for your country, but you'll have 2.4 and 5.8 bands.

I guess so. Will work though? Or will it be geographically blocked? I also plan to use this on occasion in the eu.

So, does that mean that someone in the US who buys this can never use it for vacation in the eu?

They can but with possible more limitations than a genuine CE model. FCC model does not use 2.4 band.
