Hello,

I finally pulled the trigger on a new Mini 5 Pro. I bought it on Amazon for $759 with same day delivery! I only wanted the base model, as I already have an RC Pro 2 controller and plenty of batteries from my Mini 4 Pro. That particular package only includes 2 extra props. I would like to buy more, but I want genuine DJI props. I would actually prefer Master Airscrew, but they don't appear to offer them yet.

I am in the US, and not seeing any good options to buy what I am sure are genuine DJI props. Has anyone purchased these in the US?

TIA!

I am a MAS fan and it is my understanding (so I've been told) MAS will take 30+ days once they get a drone to test and deliver their props. So I always resist buying extra OEM props before giving MAS a chance because as you probably know, once you go MAS you never go back.

As soon as I get MAS props, I will probably sell or give away my OEM props that came with the M5P and M4P combo kits. Meaning I wouldn't be too worried about availability in the near future.

Word of caution on using Mini 4 Pro batteries in the Mini 5 Pro. The voltages are different and DJI now strongly recommends against using any other batteries in the Mini 5 Pro other than Mini 5 Pro batteries. Unpredictable low power flags can lead to in-flight battery shut-offs! Use at your own risk!

Thanks. The listing has also started show up in mass on eBay; plenty to choose from.

Careful of after market props. I’ve had a few break in flight. If it isn’t OEM, Master Air Screw or real carbon fiber, I wouldn’t use it.

Agreed. So far I haven't seen any aftermarket props for the M5P on eBay; there's all OEM. It's still a bit early, the drone just launched; there's no way for anyone to make that new design this quickly. I would say get your orders in now because aftermarkets will show up soon because most of these OEMs one are pretty pricey. Personally, I'm waiting for MAS.

you're probably going to have to order them from a Chinese seller on ebay and just deal with the shipping wait time.
If the shipping wait time on Amazon is more than 3 days, in this case I’m guessing it is 3 weeks, this is just a reseller buying from Ali Express, cranking up the cost to make a profit. Go direct to Ali yourself and spend less if you are ok with waiting 3 weeks. I’ve ordered hundreds of drone parts from them. Rarely do I have an issue and when I do it is the American importer who lost it. They have great tracking and honor returns.

The reference I provided, they only ship OEM. Beware of cheap aftermarket clones. I and one of my clients had experiences with cheap aftermarket props shedding in flight. I was shocked my M3E came home missing one prop. Looked like it just lost WWIII but survived. Scary. My drones life flashed before my eyes. Still having nightmares about what could have been. Don’t risk a thousand dollars to save $10.

No one on this forum uses cheap knockoff props. OEM props are inexpensive, there's no need to slag on half-price unknowns. Many of us buy the FMC kit which has plenty of spare props, more than one person can really use. I believe for those who buy smaller kits, the props would be extras just in case sources dry up like DJI. Folks like me who use MAS props exclusively, I have no use for all my OEM props so once I open my kits, I will be giving away all my extras. My drones are colored so the black props just don't match my style. Of course, I keep the one set just in case I need to send it in. MAS is a little slow but they'll get there; hopefully by the beginning of the year.
