In the Fly More Kit, what is the USB 3.0 Type-C Data Cable × 1 actually used for?

The 3 battery charger or anything else a USB C cable would be good for like transferring files from the controller or charging the AC or controller. Heck, you can even use it to charge your electric shaver if it uses a USB C connection!
